Exciting Changes for Sheer Dance!

Spring is a time for transitions. A time to move or start a new job. A time for graduations and weddings. A time for life changes. In this issue, we showcase just some of our friends who use dance to celebrate their life moments.

We, the Sheer Dance team would like to celebrate some of our own transitions with you. Uzo Wamuo joins our team this month as our Community Liaison. Uzo grew up in the Twin Cities metro area and currently attends the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, where he is a member of the University of Minnesota Ballroom Dance Club Competition Team. You can see his work in the sections Twin Cities Dance Events, Twin Cities Dance Contacts, and Results from Around the Country. We also welcome Neli Petkova as our Marketing Coordinator. Neli is Studio Director at Dancers Studio and recently placed seventh in the WDSF Adult Open Standard competition at the USA Dance National DanceSport Championships with her partner, Sheer Dance Creative Director Nicholas Westlake. When she's not on the dance floor, Neli also serves the dance community as Social Media Marketing Coordinator for local competitions: Minnesota Ballroom Blast in October and Dance Fest in March. Last, but certainly not least, we say a temporary goodbye to Advertising Editor Hannah Alyea, who will be studing in Japan for the next two months. Filling her small-in-size, but-big-in-impact shoes is Brittney Heisserer. Brittney is a nursing student at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and a member of the University of Minnesota Ballroom Dance Club Competition Team. Brittney is excited to make sure that Sheer Dance readers continue to have the opportunity to connect with the vendors, products, and events of interest to them.
