Exciting Minnesota Critique Events Hit the Cities Full Force in October!

Minnesota Madness is a great event. It is a for profit event owned by Scott Anderson and Nathan Daniels, administered by the skillful Amy Anderson. The event caters to the monetized pro-am market, particularly to the numerous independent instructors in the area that do not have studios or volume of clients to have showcases on their own. It is a critique or feedback event rather than a competition. While Madness failed for lack of participation its first two years, the third year was the lucky charm. That year Nels Petersen sponsored and promoted the event using it as a quick start method for the now very powerful U of MN Ballroom Dance Competition Team, setting partnerships and gearing the team up for competition early in the fall semester. Madness has now established itself and is looked forward to for the whole year.

Madness is sometimes confused with Minnesota Ballroom Blast. Blast is a critique event also but the exclusive goal of this non-profit all amateur event is to get people on the dance floor for the first time. It is the second most effective marketing event for ballroom participation in North America, introducing hundreds to dance each year in a powerfully joyous way. The greatest professionals the Midwest has to offer understand this and happily critique and encourage the newbies--most of whom dance for free, compliments of generous sponsors. An amazing cast of 42 experienced volunteers generously bring forth this investment in the future of dance, guaranteeing a long market for all those that profit from dance. Blast is capped by a costume dance party and features premiums and cash scholarships of over $3,000.00.
